Itinerary:

Day 1 athens


Day 2 athens

We include a sightseeing tours of Athens; we will visit the new town, Panathinaikos Stadium and the Acropolis.


Day 3 athens - corinth - mycenae - tripoli - olympia

We will depart for the Peloponnese region in the morning. We will stop at the CORINTH CANAL. Afterwards, we will arrive in EPIDAURUS enjoying the view of gorgeous landscapes. We will visit the magnificent Ancient Theatre which is surrounded by a unique landscape. We will later journey to NAFPLIO, a town by the Aegean Sea. We will visit its historic centre, its lovely marina and its medieval castle. Lunch break and free time to stroll around. We will resume our journey to OLYMPIA at mid-afternoon. Dinner included.


Day 4 olympia - patras - nafplio

Day 6 athens - ferry-athens-rodhes


Day 7 ferry-athens-rodhes - rhodes - marmaris

We include excursion to discover the island of Rhodes. We travel to PETALOUDES, "the valley of the butterflies". From the church of Moni Panagias which has impressive views, we will begin a pleasant walk following alongside the stream, which from June to September is visited by thousands of butterflies (entrance to the Natural Park included). After that, we travel to LINDOS, whose medieval fortress and Greek Acropolis dominate the sea. You will be able to walk through the white and commercial streets of the centre, relax on its beaches or climb up (by donkey, if you wish) to the Acropolis. After lunch we return to Rhodes where we board a fast ferry to TURKEY, a journey of one hour.MARMARIS, a beautiful coastal tourist enclave, with its castle, its marina and its fountains. Dinner and accommodation. IMPORTANT NOTE: The ferries that link Rhodes with Marmaris undergo frequent changes in schedules and do not operate every day (except during summer months). The itinerary may be adapted based on the frequencies available during your trip.


Day 8 marmaris - dalyan - antalya

We depart for DALYAN, an incredible place next to a beautiful navigable river. We include a boat ride of about two hours to see the ROYAL LYCIAN TOMBS. Also by boat, we will continue on to a large lake where we will stop at the hot springs. If you wish, you can swim in its warm waters or take a mud bath! We allow time to eat at one of the many Dalyan restaurants by the river. We continue to ANTALYA, where we will have a brief visit to this great coastal city of more than one million inhabitants; Hadrian’s Gate, the Ottoman district and its great waterfall that falls directly to the sea. Dinner included.


Day 9 antalya - aspendos - side - karaman - nigde

We will leave Antalya towards ASPENDOS. We will visit the Roman theatre, for many, it is the best preserved in the world. After that, in SIDE, we will be able to admire the Greek temple of Apollo by the sea. There’s time to walk through its port and streets that are full of life. Travelling through breathtaking landscapes, we cross the Taurus mountains – their peaks stand at over 3500 meters high, and are covered in snow for most of the year. Stop in KARAMAN where we will visit TARTAN EVI, an old Ottoman mansion. We continue on to the Cappadocia region. NIGDE, dinner included.


Day 10 nigde - capadocia

Full day in the fantastic region of CAPPADOCIA, with its lunar landscapes, its churches and troglodyte villages. We start by visiting GUMUSLER, an incredible underground monastery of the 7th century with perhaps the best Byzantine frescoes in Turkey. In KAIMACLI we will visit the underground city that could house 30,000 people. We will visitUCHISAR, a natural fortress. After lunch we will discover the GOREME Valley with its open-air museum and its churches carved out of the rocks, entry tickets included. Hotel in Avanos. Dinner included.


Day 11 capadocia - hacibecktas - ankara - safranbolu

We have a fantastic day in the heart of Anatolia. With the utmost respect to the pilgrims (suitable clothes, silence recommended in the sanctuaries), we visit HACIBECKTAS, the sanctuary guards the tomb of Hacibecktas, a Sufi mystic of the 13th Century. After that, we continue to ANKARA, where we leave a free time to walk around and have lunch in the thriving center of the city. We continue towards the north of Turkey. The landscapes become greener. SAFRANBOLU; arrival in this wonderful little city which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was an important stopping point on the caravan routes. We will include a bath in a Hammam, for you to have this Turkish experience! Dinner included.


Day 12 safranbolu - gokgol magarasi - eregil - eydinpinar - istanbul

Today, the leg of our trip follows the Black Sea and its verdant landscapes. In GOKGOL MAGARASI we provide entry tickets to this magnificent cave with its underground river and its multiple colours. In EREGLI, next to the Black Sea, we set aside time to have lunch. We also include a visit to its impressive Cehennemagzi Magarasi caves and tombs that are overflowing with mythology. On our way back to Istanbul, we stop to relax at EYDINPINAR, with a walk between its green paths to the waterfalls! Arrival in ISTANBUL at the end of the day.
